US Vodafone deal 'could be biggest ever'

Vodafone could be about to do one of the biggest deals ever in the United States which could give a major boost to the whole London stock market.

If Vodafone sells a key stake in its American mobile business - tens of billions of pounds would come back across the Atlantic, much of which would end up in the hands of shareholders.

The BBC's chief economics correspondent Hugh Pym reports.
