India's finance minister is visiting New York on Wednesday to try to boost US investment in his country.
P Chidambaram is to meet with US business leaders, and is expected to stress the actions being taken by his government to help boost the Indian economy.
Yet his visit comes at a time when the US is moving ahead with stricter immigration rules which could impact on Indian outsourcing companies, as the BBC's Yogita Limaye reports.
