RBS 'digging our way out of mess from past' - Stephen Hester
Royal Bank of Scotland says it is has "defused an economic time bomb", despite reporting losses of £5.17bn, its chief executive has said.
Stephen Hester told the BBC's Hugh Pym the bank was "still digging its way out of the past", but its ongoing businesses were making profits and the process of turning the company around was nearing an end.
