Asian economies moving up value chain


In the battle for economic growth, Asia's main weapon has been trade.

Whilst many global economies have struggled since the credit crunch, Asia has exported its way to strong growth.

But what does the future hold for Asia 20 years from now? Can the likes of China continue to be the factory of the world?

HSBC has just released its World Trade Forecasts for 2030 and Sharanjit Leyl has been talking to the firm's head of global trade, James Emmett.
