'Accelerating fall' in long-term jobless - Iain Duncan Smith
The labour market is "performing well" Iain Duncan Smith has said as official figures show a further fall in unemployment.
The work and pensions secretary welcomed the statistics which Mr Duncan Smith said compared favourably with the US and Europe.
The Office for National Statistics said the number of people unemployed fell by 14,000 to 2.5 million between October and December 2012.
