Future High Streets Forum aims to ensure shops' survival
The government says high streets must move with the times if they are to survive, in the wake of high-profile shops like HMV and Blockbuster going into administration.
The warning was issued at the launch of the Future High Streets Forum, in which Local Growth Minister Mark Prisk will meet businesses, council leaders and retailers which have trialled ideas from retail expert Mary Portas.
Clare Burton reports.
