Smartphone success in the 'post PC era'
The maker of chips for Apple's iPhone and other smartphones has reported a 20% increase in pre-tax profits.
However there there are obstacles along the road as investors fall out of love with Apple and Intel belatedly expands into the smartphone industry.
Talking to Today business presenter Simon Jack, Warren East, chief executive of Arm Holdings, explained that "you will find Arm technology in a whole range of mobile phones... over 95% of mobile phones, not just Apple phones."
