In his final New Year message the outgoing Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams paid tribute to a growing group of Churches deciding to open their doors overnight and provide accommodation for the homeless.

The Robes Project is a network of over 20 London churches providing camp bed accommodation and basic meals until March.

The Today programme's reporter Nicola Stanbridge went to find out who is taking them up on their offer.

"The winter is very cold for me," one homeless women said.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today Programme on Tuesday 5 February 2013.
