Wind farm contracts 'unbelievably generous'
Families face higher energy bills because of the government's "shocking" blunders when it awarded new contracts for offshore wind farms, MPs on the Public Accounts Committee have warned.
In a report out today they say the contracts were too generous and the costs would be passed on to consumers.
The chair of the committee Margaret Hodge told the Today programme's Sarah Montague that "unbelievably generous terms in the licences [for wind farms]... could lead to higher prices for consumers".
First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today Programme on Monday 14 January 2012.
