'Flurry' of Christmas sales expected
UK retail sales failed to grow in November, adding to fears that consumers are reining in spending ahead of Christmas.
They had been expected to bounce back after October's shock 0.8% fall.
The British Retail Consortium's director general Helen Dickinson told BBC News that she expected a "flurry of last minute activity" as Christmas approached.
