How a food home delivery company works

Fresh Direct is a New York based food delivery service where customers can order fresh produce and groceries online and see it at their doorstep the next day within a two hour window of their choice.

Founder and chief executive Jason Ackerman explains how the company has built a system that manages to deliver over 12,000 orders a day.
