Kazuo Inamori: Japan Airlines' reluctant boss

Help

Kazuo Inamori, the chairman of Japan Airlines, says he needed some persuading before he took up the job at the government's request.

He told the BBC's Mariko Oi that he was an "amateur" in the industry and initially didn't want to be given the position.

Yet Mr Inamori has now led Japan Airlines since 2009 and he is credited with turning around its fortunes.
