'Broad' Burberry portfolio boosts sales - Angela Ahrendts
Luxury fashion house Burberry - famed for its camel, red and black check design - has reported better-than-expected half-year profits.
Underlying profits for the six months to 30 September rose 6% to £173m, ahead of analysts' forecasts.
In September, the firm issued a profit warning, raising worries over the strength of the luxury goods sector.
Chief executive Angela Ahrendts told BBC News that sales had steadied in the second quarter and that it would bring its perfume and beauty products business in-house.
