Indian TV broadcasting goes digital in Delhi and Mumbai

India is going digital. From next week, analogue TV signals in Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta and Chennai will be switched off. It is the first phase in the Indian government's plan to completely digitise the country by December 2014.

The BBC's Shilpa Kannan in Delhi explains what this will mean for operators and TV viewers.
