European plan to cap biofuel crops
A cap on the proportion of food crops that can be turned into biofuels is to be announced by the European Commission.
Farmers fear that new limits could cut the present use of crops for making transport fuels by up to 50%.
Biofuels suppliers argue this would decimate the existing industry and thousands of jobs.
Nigel Cassidy reports.
