Poor harvest forces shops to sell 'damaged' apples

The unusually wet weather has produced a poor apple crop, with the harvest reduced by as much as 80 per cent.

The shortage has led supermarkets to accept slightly marked fruit in order to increase supplies, but price rises are also expected.

Adam Parsons spoke to Andrew Jackson from the Man of Ross Orchard and Adrian Barlow from English Apples and Pears about the effect on this year's harvest.
