India's trade hurt by global slowdown
For a time, trade to and from India appeared to be insulated from the troubles elsewhere in the world as consumer demand and an insatiable appetite for imports such as oil, remained strong.
But slower economic growth, both abroad and also at home, is now taking its toll.
Both imports and exports to the country have shrunk over the past couple of months.
