'Weak demand' hitting UK manufacturing figures
Trading conditions over the past three months were the toughest since early 2010 according to a survey carried out by the manufacturing body EEF.
It said slower demand for goods both in the UK and overseas had hit orders, with UK orders at their weakest level in over two years.
Senior economist at EEF Andrew Johnson said that the most concerning trend was a fall in demand from the emerging markets such as China.
