Republican vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan has promised a "turnaround" for America, in a prime-time speech to the party convention in Tampa, Florida.

Mitt Romney himself will take to the stage on Thursday.

It is an opportunity to define himself to voters and to reinforce his message that he is the best person to restore growth and bring down unemployment.

So what exactly is his economic plan?
