North east England helping Britain 'trade out of recession'

The Chancellor has called on UK firms to double exports to £1tn by the end of the decade, to help the country improve its balance of payments.

Latest figures show that British exports have fallen. However in places like Newcastle exports are improving.

The North East is the only region in the UK that is now a net exporter, shipping out more stuff than they bring in, has the highest value of goods exports relative to the size of its economy.

With the NE being the Uk's only success story on the export front, what can they teach the rest of the country?

Steph McGovern went to meet Nagma Ebanks- Beni, Commercial Director at Prima Cheese Ltd based in Newcastle, to find out how they are managing it.
