China and Taiwan ink pact to protect investor interests
China and Taiwan have signed an investment protection deal in a bid to protest interests of investors from both countries.
The pact provides investors from both sides with formal channels to settle disputes.
It also details the rights of Taiwanese investors if they are detained by Chinese authorities and vice versa.
The BBC's Cindy Sui reports from the capital Taipei.
