What is Standard Chartered bank accused of?

US regulators have accused the British bank, Standard Chartered, of breaching economic sanctions against Iran by laundering as much as $250bn (£161bn).

The bank has strongly denied the claim that it hid details of tens of thousands of transactions for Iranian organisations.
