IHG's Richard Solomons on profits jump
The world's biggest hotel company, Intercontinental, has reported a sharp jump in profits, earning $178m (£114m) pre-tax in the three months to the end of June.
Revenue also rose, up 3% at $469m, thanks in part to a strong performance in China.
Chief executive Richard Solomons told the BBC he thought, "a combination of being where the growth is... and running a pretty efficient business has really helped us perform."
