Indian energy woes hit business

In the past week almost half of India was left without power in what is being described as one of the world's worst blackouts.

Power outages are a regular occurrence across the country - demand has outstripped supply for some time and is continuing to grow.

Shilpa Kannan reports from Delhi on the impact of inconstant power for people and business.

Clarification 20 August 2012: This report, using information from the Ministry of Power, said the southern grid had been hit. The ministry later clarified that the south was not affected.
