Help

China's economy - the world's second largest - is showing signs of slowing down.

Its official Purchasing Managers' Index - an indicator of the economic health of the manufacturing sector - fell to 50.1 in July, down from 50.2 in June.

A similar survey from the eurozone showed its manufacturing sector shrank at its fastest pace for three years in July.

The figures are raising fears of a severe slowdown, and possibly a global recession.
