King: BoE had no reason to suspect Libor rates fixing

Sir Mervyn King has told MPs the Bank of England had no evidence of Libor rates being fixed until the scandal first emerged two-weeks ago.

Sir Mervyn told the Treasury select committee there was no suggestion of "fraudulent behaviour or wrong doing in anything that we saw".
