Ed Balls backs calls for 'Leveson-style' banking inquiry
The shadow chancellor has thrown his weight behind calls for an independent "arms length" probe into the culture of "lying" in UK banks.
Ed Balls said that in retrospect, Labour had not been tough enough on the banks.
But people had been shocked by the "swaggering arrogance" that had come to light in the past 24 hours.
