Barroso tells G20 'we have not come to receive lessons'

European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso has mounted a strong defence of the EU's handling of the financial crisis.

He told world leaders at a G20 summit in Mexico "we have not come here to receive lessons", and pointed out that the financial global crisis "was not originated in Europe".
