Mining magnate Gina Rinehart named world's richest woman

An Australian mining magnate has been declared the richest woman in the world.

Gina Rinehart is now said to be worth 29 billion Australian dollars ($28bn; £18bn), having increased her wealth by nearly A$20bn in the past year.

Nevertheless, Ms Rinehart remains a controversial figure in Australia having been involved in some bitter public disputes.
