Japanese economy grows by 1.0%
Japan's economy grew 1.0% between January and March compared with the previous three months, official figures have shown.
The expansion was slightly more than analysts had expected.
Much of the growth was due to post-earthquake reconstruction spending and improving exports.
Martin Schultz from the Fujitsu Research Institute says that for long term growth the exports are crucial.
