Nick Clegg urges banks to lend to businesses
The UK is back in recession.
Official figures show the economy contracted by 0.2% in the first quarter of the year.
The decline in gross domestic product (GDP) was partly the result of the biggest fall in construction for three years.
In a speech to the Institute of Directors, the Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, said banks needed to continue lending to businesses.
