Optimism in West Midlands automotive industry
The UK has gone back into recession.
Economists had been expecting the UK to just scrape by, but the economy contracted by 0.2% in the first quarter of this year.
That followed a 0.3% contraction in the last three months of 2011.
However, it is not doom and gloom for all UK sectors as the automotive industry is performing well.
Phil Mackie spoke to Roger Whitehouse, the managing director of Lander Automotive and Prof David Bailey from Coventry Business School.
