Business Bites: China and Germany to increase trade
China says it aims to increase bilateral trade with Germany, its biggest European business partner, to $280bn (£174bn; 213bn euros) by 2015.
The announcement came as Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao spoke at a German-Chinese economic forum in the city of Hanover.
He also said the two countries should work to combat protectionism and to further improve their mutual market access.
German car maker Volkswagen later announced an agreement to build a new factory in China's far west.
