Qatar's small business stock market
Getting hold of finance is one of the biggest challenges faced by small and medium sized businesses in the current economic climate, with credit often hard to obtain even in wealthy countries.
In an effort to help SMEs expand and access much-needed equity, Qatar has announced it is opening a junior stock market, specially designed for small companies to trade their shares.
It will be the first of its kind in the Middle East, but will the idea take off?
