The purchase by Facebook of the photo-sharing tool Instagram for $1bn (£630m) points in no small way to the sums of money that can be made in apps.

Entrepreneurs across Asia are now looking to develop apps, all hoping that their particular digital tool is going to be the next big thing.

Gwendolyn Regina Tan is the co-founder of SG Entrepreneurs and she's been meeting with many app developers in the region.

She spoke to the BBC's Mariko Oi.
