India in defence spending spree


Defence companies from across the world gathered in the Indian capital, Delhi, last week to participate in Asia's largest arms exhibition.

The Indian government itself was a big buyer. It is looking to spend $30bn (£19bn) on defence over the next seven years.

Suvojit Bagchi was at the Defence Expo 2012 to find out why India is spending so heavily on weapon imports.
