RWE and E.On halt UK nuclear plans at Wylfa and Oldbury

Help

Two companies have pulled out of plans to develop a new generation of nuclear power plants in the UK.

RWE Npower and E.On have announced they will not now invest in new plants in Anglesey and Oldbury-on-Severn, near Bristol.

The government says it is disappointed but there remains "considerable interest" in the project.

The BBC's Hugh Pym reports.
