World Bank: Obama nominates US-Korean to be new head

Help

Barack Obama has revealed his nomination for the new head of the World Bank.

He is a Korean-born American academic called Jim Yong Kim, who would bring experience in global health issues.

The nomination of the Dartmouth College president and development expert is a surprise as he was not mentioned as a contender over the past weeks.

He has also been spotted performing in college music videos for his college, as John McManus reports.
