Carlos Slim-backed TV channel to air Larry King show

Larry King is to host an interview show on a new TV channel financed by the Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim.

Mr King resigned from CNN last year after 27 years of hosting Larry King Live.

The channel, called Ora.TV, will be based in New York and will launch this year.

On its website, Ora.TV is described as an "on-demand" network available on mobile devices and televisions connected to the internet.

The channel's chief executive will be Jon Housman, formerly the President of Digital Journalism for News Corporation.

Control of Latin America's biggest mobile phone company, America Movil, has helped make Carlos Slim the world's richest man.
