Can Burma attract investors?

The EU has this week agreed to suspend visa bans against senior Burmese politicians, following the country's "remarkable programme of political reform".

Burma remains the subject of economic sanctions from the EU, the US and Canada, among others, but Western leaders have said they will match progress towards democracy with concessions and political incentives.

The country itself hopes to attract more investment through its multi-billion dollar Dawei industrial project.
