New Middle Class: Education


Families in Asia desperate to get a college education for their children are considering a variety of expensive options.

M P and Seema Singh from Delhi in India are amongst those having to dig deep in their pockets for their child's education. Ishan, 18, wants to study architecture at university, and the competition for places is fierce.

Like many middle-class parents, they are having to pay for extra tuition, and are considering sending him to university in another country.
