OFGEM reveals profits at energy suppliers have soared

The energy regulator OFGEM has revealed that the profit margins at the main gas and electricity suppliers have soared.

It says the six biggest companies are now making £125 a year for each customer.

In recent months all of the big energy suppliers have increased gas and electricity prices, blaming rising wholesale energy costs.
