'Dragon' James Caan calls on small businesses to help economy

One of Britain's best known entrepreneurs, James Caan of Dragons' Den fame, has suggested a way businesses could play a major role in getting the UK economy back on its feet.

He told the BBC's Asian Network Report that, if all small and medium businesses - many of which are Asian - were to hire one extra person, it would "eradicate" unemployment.

But do firms have the necessary confidence about the future to follow his suggestion?

The Asian Network Report is broadcast Monday-Friday at 12:30 and 18:30 BST on the BBC Asian Network. Or catch up later on the BBC iPlayer.
