Chinese president seeks to seal Russian gas supply deal

Chinese President Hu Jintao has arrived in Russia to try to push ahead a multi-billion dollar deal for natural gas supplies.

Russia is offering to sell China half as much gas a year as it supplies to the whole of Europe.

Negotiations have been going on for the past five years, but the two sides still disagree over the price to be paid.
