Two Year 12 pupils at school in Penarth, south Wales, have have just won a national investment competition.
They made a 39% return on a lump sum of £1,500 over eight months, and to give that some context the FTSE 100 index rose by just 5% over the same period.
Duke Durham and Ben White told the BBC that they did it by taking some risks and investing in northern Iraq.
James Bevan is chief investment officer at CCLA and he gave the BBC his tips for novice investors.
