Has the Japan quake affected Apple?

Apple are due to release their profits for the second quarter later and analysts are wondering what impact the fall in Japanese exports has had on the company.

Competition for components was already fierce before the earthquake and demand seems to be outstripping supply of its iPad tablet, while reports suggest the next iPhone, will not be released until after its traditional summer date.

Chris Green, a technology analyst at DMG Europe told the BBC the disruption may weigh on Apple's bottom line.
