Chief Executive Schlee on Pret A Manger's success

Help

Sandwich chain Pret A Manger has reported a big rise in sales and profits and is opening 20 new stores, despite rising commodity prices and a tough climate on the high street.

Chief Executive Clive Schlee told BBC Breakfast that the company, which celebrates its 25th anniversary in July, has worked hard with suppliers to keep price increases down, despite rising food prices.

He also attributed the company's strong sales figures to understanding their customers' preference for "hot, affordable and healthy" products.
