Japan food exports ban widens out

Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore have all moved to ban certain Japanese food on fears of nuclear contamination.

where they are latest countries to join the US, and in the last half an hour Australia in banning imports of Japanese food from areas near the stricken Fukushima nuclear plant.

They are halting milk, vegetable and fruit imports from those areas because of radiation contamination fears.

Tai Hui of Standard Chartered Bank told Rico Hizon that at this stage this was not a major blow to the country.
