Could high oil prices prevent recovery?

Oil prices hit a two and a half year high on Monday - driven up by the uncertainty caused by political turmoil in the Middle East.

Its value fell back slightly by the close of business but there are growing concerns that the cost of oil could derail the fragile economic recovery around the world.
