Garden gnomes return as ironic fashion objects in trendy gardens


Gnomes are springing up as ironic fashion objects around trendy gardens. Are the red cheeked, bearded ornaments finally making a comeback?

Anne Atkin is the founder of the Gnome Sanctuary in North Devon, which holds the world record for the largest gnome collection.

She told BBC Radio 5 live presenter Tony Livesey: "Fashions come and fashions go but gnomes go on for ever!"
